Work has been going really well, I have a part-time job, its my third week now. I work from 9am to 1pm which is perfect as it still gives me time to do some personal things and attend to things at home. And ofcourse do some touristy things and hang out with Ange and Val! :-)

I just didnt want to shock my system too much either....

Went to Miami and had some fun in the sun!

Been To Phoenix - Arizona.. desert land yet SO full of luxury - reminds me of home.. Sandton..

It is SO hot in Phoenix Already i have no idea what summer will be like phew!but i love the city and will definitely be visiting again. I want to visit the Grand canyon and the African Safari park they have there!

Boulder: Ok i went to Boulder in Colorado - itsvery much similar to Denver but lots more to see - very arty and alot of history surrounded by quaint restaurants and tea houses as well as shops and craft markets. I took long walk on a cool spring day and just enjoyed the newness.

Ok.. what else.. i think thats it of my travels, i will be heading off to San Francisco in 2 weeks and looking so forward to that.. Until then, i have a few more postings to stimulate your heart, soul and mind and you dont have any of those, i am sure you will feel some kind of reverberation in your hollow tin chest!

Happiness is such a capricious emotion... just when you think you have it nicked... something happens and whoooshe off it goes..

These days.. me.. i have decided to turn my focus toward finding what gives me the most peace and contentment.. not elated emotions.. although those are fun!!!.. they are fleeting and i think once the contentment and peace are securely there.. the happiness may just follow who knows...
So speaking of which.. i went home to South Africa in pursuit of my soul i guess.. and hey presto there it was sitting in Nandos, hiding in a lemon and herb quarter chicken and fanta grape...

Unfortunately as you know that didnt last long... so i set out to leave the chicken behind and go find something real.. the thing about finding your soul.. is that when you finally feel as if you have in fact found it... you realise it never left to begin with.. it was only peace that you needed.

Good old Africa.. thats where i found my peace.. the only difference is.. it now travels with me - i have given it a passport, secured it a visa and where i go it goes ALL time! teehee

I did a temp job (my first in the land of the free - home of the brave).. it was quite interesting, one would never have thought something as simple as accent and culture can change a work experience so drastically.. when a person answers a phone and you ask who is calling in a South African accent and you keep getting "huh", "what", "excuse me" you know its time to just give it up and say "who is caworling"!! (does that sounds American enough)???LOL

Been in SA - 3 weeks (again) great
Been to Miami 4 days - great!
Seen Christina A and PCD - if you dont know whjo that is - please invest in an Ipod and if you dontknow what that is - there is NO hope for you!

So all in all life is still pretty good. The challenges are about to begin as we embark on a new journey of work and living like a normal person would in America. Wish me luck!
