Regret
I have often said in person and on here that I have no regrets, and I plan to not have any regrets regardless of the foolish decisions I sometime make. However, this week, I started to realize that I do have regrets…
Regret is defined as an intelligent (and/or emotional) dislike for personal past acts and behaviors. Regret is often felt when someone feels sadness, shame, or guilt after committing an action or actions that the person later wishes that he or she had not done.
So, I started thinking of how many times I would really rather not have engaged in some things.. so DO i have regrets - YES.... do I LIVE in the land of regret? NO.. do I feel like my failures and bad decisions made me a better person and helped me grow in ways that I would not otherwise have - Absolutely. But still, if i had to "do it all over again" for SURE i would make wiser decisions.
Blessed are the hearts that can mend, they shall never be broken….
