San Diego and Los Angeles - California
Arrived in Cali on Wed night and already i felt released from the claustrophobic burden of snowritis! whoohoo - i could smell the fresh crisp air and the feel the humidity on my skin! heaven - atlast! (but not enough humidity to turn me into Diana Ross though!)
There are so many reasons why one would want to visit and even live in California. People know how to dress, the ocean has its own mystical charm, the weather is great all year round, the cars are awesome and ofcourse the laid back lifestyle.
I was always drawn to California - it was the very reason i had wanted to move to the USA to begin with, it houses the Dream Centre - in Los Angeles - it was great to revisit a dream that i have held in my heart for a very long time. To see so many people have their lives go from nothing and hopeless to being people who have value and purpose in their lives and able to help others find the same.
Then ofcourse how can one go to San Diego and not oogle over the panda babies?!!!! ahhhh.
We did so many cool things, San Diego is filled with wonderful animals, museums and great places to eat. We took a train from Oceanside to LA - which took 2 hours, it was a very relaxing ride and when you arrive in LA you KNOW you are in LA.. Wondering down the streets of Rodeo drive, having wine and watching cars cruise by that most people only dream of.. this is the life.. my life as a cover girl! (J/K)
At the museum of natural history, they had an exhibition called "A day in Pompeii" - it was about the history of what happened in Pompeii in 79AD - very fascinating!
Walks on the beach, eating at "In and out" burger (which is worse than Wendy's as far as health benefits! but GREAT nonetheless.
I really had an awesome time - time to plan my next vacation! whoo hoo

The pictures are awesome! It really looks like a nice sunny place. Can do with a bit of that right now. Riaan wants to go to Utah for holiday but I'm dreaming of a nice beach holiday so hopefully I can pursuade him. It was also very exciting for me to visit L.A - it feels like you're on a movie set. Everything seems unreal. Liked the beach.
By the way, like your blog. I'm going to read some of your other entries. It is entertaining!
Bokkie where'd you get your dresses from? Esp the one with the pink detail on it. I am LOVING it!
