For the past week, things seemed to have calmed down a bit at the office. I only went in at 6am once this week - THAT is pretty calm compared to how things have been of late!

I am preparing for my trip home, it always seems like a big drama to get ready for and such a short time in which to do / see what I need to. This time I am going for my best friends' wedding, so I have even less time - thanks to American holidays which suck - cause I only get like 5 days vacation per year!! But I won't complain, I will take what I get and be happy for the moment! :-)

Sometimes, though, I wish I could just wake up and with no luggage just go to the airport, arrive in SA - stress free and have a relaxed time! have all my friends and family take the whole week off and just come to my house and chill!! WAKEY WAKEY - It ain't gonna happen.

I am looking forward to visiting home again (after all this time HAHAHAHAHA - it's only been 8 months!!!!!! and before that 4 months and before that 6 months and and and..)

Well, it is always a treat to go home and to reconnect. So that is my boring update LOL.

"The Batman"

Ok, so if you have not seen Batman yet, you are either really not interested or you live under a rock. In any case, if you haven't made it out to see it yet, and want to - it would be best to not read any further. Since I have already seen this magnificent movie 3 times, I have STUFF to say about it!!



The thing about Batman - yes, it is a comic book story, a creatively imaginative portrayal of a handsome, rich man by day and vigilante crime fighter by night -because no one else can or will.. Is he conflicted? Is he complex? I was thinking about this the other day, especially with the introduction of "the joker" played by the very talented and gorgeous late Heath Ledger, a masterful performance to say the least..


The idea and power of "the Batman" is in the secrecy of his identity. Because without his secret he is just a Mr. money-bags with a Messiah complex... but the whole idea that got me comparing this character and the character of the joker to real life and real people, is because I truly believe that every person has a secret identity.

The same way that the "power" of [sin] is in it's secrecy, so I imagine the power of one's identity and who you want to be seen as, as opposed to who you really are, is in it's secrecy.

So, the joker is a villian who cannot be bought, bribed or persuaded. His motives are clear..echoing the nature of the sly psychopathic and scary sing-song voice of Hannibal lector... he has no grand scheme accept to show the world that every [man] has limits.. every man's identity bends with the gravity of morality, pain or loss.. insanity?

Think about the Kingdom of darkness...do those forces bend the rules for a reason other than that of making your soul join the forces of anarchy......evil has no conscience, is a shrewd judge of character and funny enough is able to see all our weakenesses...

Why is that? Why are good people seemingly less awake to life????

Ok, so I have to leave you with that question... the title of every blog from now on (until i am OVER it).. will be a line from Batman! :-)

Been a while



Ok, stop your whining - i will update you!!



LOL - I know it has been a while since my last entry. I have been rather busy and also been travelling quite a bit.



I spent a weekend in Phoenix (which i think i mentioned before) _ that was really nice - it was rather hot over there - but we went to all the night life activites and just enjoyed relaxing at the poolside and seeing as much of Phoenix shopping district as possible. I didn't do much shopping, only bought a pair of shoes. How boring!



The weekend after Phoenix, i took another Friday off to go to Florida - we spent the weekend at an awesome resort called: Sandestin in Fort Walton beach - it was very humid, So as you can imagine, i looked like Eldo's style Diana Ross.. and the threat of hurricane Bertha was constantly eminent in the storms we experienced. But even this would not stop us from Jet skiing and eating as much as possible. Bar hopping with colleagues to watch all the insane tourists "stuck" in paradise! The views are beautiful.. and we just had an awesome time. We nearly got stuck there for a longer time due to flight cancellations, but thankfully - i managed to get myself home in time for work on Monday!



This past weekend, i went mountain biking, that was really hard! I did like 15 minutes and had to turn back - the way back was awesome - i was rolling all the way down hill hahaha

I also went to an Amusement park for our annual company picnic - i was forced (at gunpoint almost) to get onto a rollercoaster.. it was bloody awful!!

Work has been insane crazy busy - i have been trying to fit in as much mountain biking, walking and tennis as i can amidst the madness - alas - the fat wont budge! but now that i am into it, i am determined to get things going. Tennis has been going slowly but surely - i have played a few games in the past few weeks and i can say for sure to my coach of 5 years (ek suig!!) Well, only for now - i am on my way to getting into shape so that i can at some stage run from one end of the court to the other without totally fainting and get out of suckville enough to beat Weoi Teoh at a game!


So, now i am mostly caught up on all my activities.. Pictures will follow in next post...

Well, i had a tough few weeks, i have been 100% completely absorbed in my work. I have been doing alot of socializing as well, but while doing that - work was on my mind 24/7!! This weekend i go to Phoenix Arizona - mind you it is like 106 degrees over there which is like 40c or something! ARGH. But it should be really fun.

... and so.. i move on...

Life is so funny - how you change, how you grow - how things change.. how they stay the same...

I feel somehow when my life gets this busy that i cannot even focus, that is when magically it brings me back to a conscious cultivation of my connection with my spirit.

It brings to my attention my humanity, my fraily, but also my strength.. my own tenacity and just who i am as a unique print on the world.

It is hard..

"Don't tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart. Show me how you turn Away from making another wrong, without abandoning yourself, when you are hurt and afraid to be unloved."

How can i not hold the world in my heart or atleast want to on this journey through my life, as i embrace my destiny and my desires.. this is impossible.

I lift my head from the busy rat race to look in the mirror of self.. it is still me....

after all...it's still me.

Will some people develop some freggin manners please!!!

You know i find it VERY rude when you have dinner with someone and they comment on how much / how fast or how little you eat or drink. Further to that people who are deficient in the English language should not attempt to correct my English... and last but NOT least: if I post pictures of myself on MY Blog and MY myspace page or MY facebook profile - who the hell are you to tell me they are inappropriate or whatever???? Keep your dam opinion to yourself..

OK THERE i said it.

I just think people who want to tell other people how to live or behave have nothing better to do with their time.
